I started a drawing series with windfall in 2016-17 and moved on to add the river in late 2017. The drawings range from 8" x 10" or 9" x 12" on thin paper to a 20" square rendered on plastic. I made these big plastic drawings on a gessoed rectangle unlike my 2018 and later shaped paintings on the same material. The windfall that I chose had to be pitted and damaged. I especially liked the ones that were worm eaten, split open or chewed by squirrels.
