In 2018, This is the year that I started to focus on the surface reflection rather than the real colour of the river which is very dark. I made less river paintings as I preferred the leaf paintings which could be made in the comfort of the studio - no more back pain from sitting on hard rocks. I kept the edges unfinished but still had difficulty getting rid of the rectangle due to the natural shape of the river.
